How To Contribute To Site

For a web site to be cohesive and worthwhile it has to have some theme, and not just a collection of unrelated material thrown together in a hodge podge fashion. The theme of this site is the history, people, and physical aspects of Saltillo. This also includes the "now," as well as the past.  I, for instance, would like to know if the train still comes through the town, and how many times it does so in a day. What family or person has lived there the longest?  When did they tear down the old train depot? In addition to the written word, pictures can tell a lot. Old photos depicting scenes of the town in previous days are priceless in an endeavor such as this.

Now that you have some idea as to the criteria for this site, and if you are so inclined, here is how you can get things to me:

Written text. If it is done on a computer, simply save in Microsoft Word format and attach it to an e-mail message to me. Or, you can mail it to me.

Newspaper clipping. If you have a scanner, scan it in either "jpg" or "gif" format and attach it to an e-mail message to me. Or, copy it and mail it to me.

Photo. If you have a scanner, scan the picture in either "jpg" or "gif" format and attach it to an e-mail message to me. Or, take the photo(s) to some photo shop and have it/them copied and then mail it/them to me. As to photos copied and mailed, write the details on the back of them. Now, if you really trust me, mail the originals to me. I will scan them and then return them to you.

I look forward to hearing from residents and former residents of Saltillo, or anyone who has something to contribute to this endeavor.
